Important District Announcement
SAVE THE DATE!
We have a unique opportunity to take field trips to CSUSM.
When: Friday, February 26, 2016 for Mrs. Dominguez's and Mrs. Hilton's social studies classes.
When: Thursday, March 10, 2016 for Mrs. Twiss's, Mr. Barrowcliff's and Mrs. Doyle's social studies classes.
Why: TVUSD has a partnership with Califorrnia State University San Marcos called CAPS. CAPS stands for College Admission Promise for Students. Students in TVUSD, have the opportunity to go to college through the CAPS program regardless of their financial means or background. For students who meet the requirements of CAPS, this would mean guaranteed admission to CSUSM. Starting this year, we are going to be taking 7th graders to the college for a field trip and providing CAPS presentations.
What do I need to do if I want to Chaperone: If you are interested in chaperoning with your child's class, go to link below to sign up for a slot on the respective teacher’s date of field trip.
You must get clearance to chaperone (e.g., TB test, etc.). Once you have committed to going, we will send you additional information regarding the requirements.
There will be more information to come in 2016 for our 7th grade fieldtrip participants. See PDF files.

Important Health Office Notice
Parents: Just a reminder that if your student is seen by a doctor for an injury or condition that will exclude them from PE, they must have a note from the doctor with a start and end date. If a student is going to need to use crutches at school, a note stating that the crutches are prescribed by the doctor is necessary. If you have any questions, please contact the health office.
